Yeah buddy! A 1954 Studebaker Special Custom 4×4 truck, this vintage 4×4 restored is not one you see everyday! We always like something different. The ’54 Studebaker 3/4 ton body is sitting on a newer 1986 K20 3/4 ton chassis. This beast of a truck is titled as a 1954 Studebaker.
1954 was an interesting year for the truck line at Studebaker. After falling on hard times for a few years they decided to spruce things up with the ’54 models. These updated Studebakers sported a couple very visible changes. First being the once-piece single pane windshield, which you see here. The other visible change on this ’54 truck line was a restyled ivory-colored grille with four horizontal openings. While the four grill openings are of course visible, the grill color on this custom truck is far from original.
The full frame off restoration of this Studebaker Special was done by a full custom shop in Texas and it’s jammed full of after-market parts. The vehicle’s asking price on Ebay was reduced from $35k to $33k recently. The seller is looking to move on this vintage 4×4 restomod and is even willing to entertain partial trades. If you have a little play money and are looking for something different then this custom 4×4 is worth a look.
